Dental Assistant

Job Overview

Private dental office in the North Port Area. We are seeking a qualified Dental Assistant who can grow with us along side our new business. Pay range 23-30 dollars per hour. Additional compensation via bonus structures based on office collections. We are currently operating on a 4 day work week - Monday through Thursday.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during various procedures, including prosthodontics and other dental treatments.
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring they are sterilized and ready for use.
• Perform medical imaging, including X-rays, while adhering to safety protocols.
• Document patient medical histories and maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Take and record vital signs as needed during patient visits.
• Provide support to the dental receptionist by managing patient appointments and ensuring a welcoming environment.
• Utilize Open Dental software for patient management and record keeping.
• Demonstrate knowledge of dental anatomy to assist in patient education regarding treatment options.
• Operate 3D scanners for advanced imaging when required.

Experience
Candidates should possess relevant experience or training in dental assisting. Familiarity with Open Dental software a plus, medical imaging techniques, and knowledge of dental anatomy are highly desirable. A background in prosthodontics is a plus. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential for success in this role.

We started this office after working for most major corporations in town. We know how they operate and how they treat their staff.
