Responsibilities
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, and oral surgery. Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are maintained. Take dental X-rays using advanced equipment such as 3D scanners and imaging tools; ensure proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Manage patient records using Dentrix ensuring accuracy in medical documentation and coding. Provide chairside assistance by handling dental terminology accurately, preparing materials, and supporting four-handed dentistry techniques for optimal workflow. Monitor vital signs and assist in assessing patient comfort levels before, during, and after treatments. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
Skills
Proficiency with Dentrix. Strong knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and anatomy relevant to dental procedures. Experience with dental assisting procedures including X-ray taking, medical imaging, vital signs monitoring, and chairside support. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry protocols to create a comforting experience for young patients. Understanding of dental terminology across various specialties like implantology and endodontics to facilitate effective communication. Ability to operate advanced equipment such as 3D scanners and digital X-ray systems safely and effectively. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
