About the Role

The Unlicensed Dental Assistant supports dental providers during clinical procedures and helps maintain smooth daily clinic operations. This position plays an important role in ensuring efficient patient flow, maintaining equipment and supplies, and providing education that promotes oral health and positive patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist dental providers during clinical procedures and prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care
  • Support efficient patient flow and help ensure timely delivery of dental services
  • Provide oral health education and instructions to patients as directed by dental providers
  • Maintain dental equipment, instruments, and supplies and assist with routine maintenance
  • Complete required documentation and electronic dental record tasks in a timely manner
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and quality improvement activities
  • Support a collaborative, team-based approach to integrated patient care
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations

Qualifications

  • Dental Assisting diploma/degree or at least two (2) years of experience as an unlicensed dental assistant
  • Current CPR certification
  • Experience using electronic dental record systems
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish or Somali) preferred

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
