Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional chairside assistance, managing patient care, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, infection control, and medical documentation to deliver high-quality dental services in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Eaglesoft system .The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in maintaining patient comfort and safety while assisting the dentist during procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, and implants using chairside assisting techniques.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
  • Take dental X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed.
  • Maintain strict infection control standards using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination
  • Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating medical records, phone calls, seating patient, consents, etc.
  • Assist procedures when required, demonstrating patience and understanding for patients.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure efficient workflow using four-handed dentistry techniques.

Skills

  • Proficiency with Eaglesoft
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures across general dentistry.
  • Experience with X-ray imaging, including digital radiography and 3D scanners.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information.
  • Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques within a dental setting.
  • Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining patient comfort.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry and overall health conditions affecting oral health.
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing medical documentation and records accurately.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating professionalism and compassion.
