Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to support our dental team in delivering exceptional oral healthcare. Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring a clean environment following infection control protocols.
• Take and develop dental X-rays accurately while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
• Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide chairside assistance by handling dental terminology, medical documentation, and medical coding as required.
• Support patients by explaining procedures, answering questions about medical history, and assisting with paperwork.
• Maintain knowledge of anatomy and dental terminology to effectively communicate with team members and patients.
• Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control standards to promote a safe clinical environment.
• Assist with the operation of advanced equipment such as 3D scanners and medical imaging devices.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth clinic operations, including managing medical records and supporting the dental receptionist when needed.

Experience

• Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is required, preferably with exposure to general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, or endodontics.
• Proficiency in using EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control procedures is essential for maintaining confidentiality and safety standards.
• Familiarity with dental assisting techniques such as vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and chairside assisting is necessary.
• Experience with medical terminology, medical documentation, and medical coding will be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to dental procedures enhances team effectiveness.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
