Dental Assistant

Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all supplies are ready for procedures
• Assist dentists during exams, cleanings, restorations, and prosthodontic procedures with precision and care
• Take and develop dental X-rays while maintaining strict infection control protocols
• ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Provide chairside assistance by handling dental terminology, aseptic techniques, and anatomy knowledge to support safe and effective treatments
• Monitor vital signs of patients when necessary and assist with medical documentation for comprehensive medical records management
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist and maintaining organized medical coding for billing purposes

Skills

• Strong knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety
• Experience with dental assisting procedures ,including chairside assisting, taking X-rays
• Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology to communicate effectively within the team
• Ability to work efficiently in general dentistry settings
• A proactive attitude toward infection prevention protocols and patient comfort in a fast-paced environment
