Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and efficiently check them in and out using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
- Schedule appointments, confirm patient details, and manage appointment flow to maximize clinic productivity.
- Collect patient information, verify insurance coverage, and ensure HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy.
- Assist with clinical procedures including taking X-rays, vital signs, and medical imaging, while maintaining aseptic technique and infection control standards.
- Support dentists during procedures through chairside assisting, including four-handed dentistry techniques and knowledge of dental terminology.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials for procedures like prosthodontics, endodontics, or general dentistry treatments.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records, including medical coding and updates on dental and medical history.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and coordinate with vendors for timely restocking of 3D scanners or other advanced equipment.
- Ensure a clean, organized reception area that adheres to infection control protocols and safety standards.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while following safety guidelines.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control practices.
- Experience with chairside assisting in various dental specialties including pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, or general dentistry.
- Competence in medical documentation, medical records management, and medical coding processes.
- Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist who can handle patient inquiries professionally.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail in medical imaging and vital signs collection.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
