Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for procedures.
• Assist dentists during various treatments including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
• Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging technology such as 3D scanners while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations.
• Manage patient records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix ensuring all medical documentation is complete and compliant.
• Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, suctioning, and monitoring vital signs to ensure patient safety throughout procedures.
• Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care to promote ongoing dental wellness.
• Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures to uphold the highest safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
• Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix
• Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques within a dental clinic setting.
• Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while following safety guidelines.
• Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and working with children is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills as a Dental Receptionist or in patient-facing roles are a plus.
