Dental Assistant

We are currently seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. We are a small general dentistry practice with over 20 years of business, and we are committed to providing top-quality dental care in a friendly and comfortable environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients in the operatories
• Prepare rooms for the doctors, and prepare patients for treatments
• Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
• Turn over rooms in a timely manner
• Keeping the Doctor on schedule
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations
• Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Keep the dental operatory clean and well-stocked

Skills

MUST HAVE: VALID NJ RADIOLOGY LICENSE

MAJOR PLUS: REGISTERED DENTAL ASSISTANT/EXPANDED FUNCTION

• Proven experience as dental assistant
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
• Good computer skills & ability to work with patients of all ages
• Excellent communication & people skills
• Attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable with a great attitude. Must be punctual. Must have reliable transportation.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
