Duties
- Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring an aseptic environment.
- Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to radiation safety protocols.
- Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Practice Web and Easy Dental
- Provide vital signs monitoring and medical imaging support to ensure patient safety before procedures.
- Support front desk operations by handling dental receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow efficiently.
- Maintain infection control standards through proper sterilization techniques and adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic setting with knowledge of dental terminology and medical documentation.
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Practice Web and Easy Dental familiarity with medical coding and records management is a plus.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, anatomy knowledge, and dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry.
- Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging devices safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with children is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist or in patient interaction roles; ability to explain procedures clearly using dental terminology.
- Certification in radiography or X-ray technology preferred; ongoing commitment to professional development in areas like endodontics or prosthodontics is advantageous. - High School Diploma or GED
- Xrays license a must.
- Bilingual preferred
- Help with scheduling patients with no shows and canceled appointments.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
