Job Summary
Join our all female super star dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care. In this role, you will work side by side with another assistant by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring a smooth flow of daily operations. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and cared for. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting while promoting oral health and wellness. Hours are Tuesday-Thursday 9-5, Friday 9-3.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all supplies are ready for patient procedures.
- Assist dentist during various dental treatments, including chairside assisting with procedures such as fillings, crowns, oral surgery, and implants.
- Take dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging equipment like 3D scanners, ensuring proper technique and patient safety.
- Manage patient records accurately within an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system such as Dentrix, including updating medical documentation and coding.
- Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort levels to ensure safety throughout procedures, adhering to infection control and aseptic techniques.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and answer questions about procedures or dental terminology in a clear manner.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, giving post op instructions, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
