Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a pediatric dentistry settings. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sterile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and available.
  • Perform X-rays and maintain accurate medical documentation for each patient visit.
  • Take vital signs and record patient histories to assist in treatment planning.
  • Implement aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Manage sterilization of dental instruments and maintain an organized clinical environment.
  • Support the front office with scheduling appointments, confirming patient visits, and managing patient records as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional patient experiences in a friendly and professional manner.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, particularly in pediatric dentistry.
  • Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix is a plus.
  • Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques is essential.
  • Ability to perform basic dental procedures under the supervision of the dentist.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
  • Certification in radiology or willingness to obtain certification if required by state regulations.
  • A compassionate approach towards patient care, especially with children in a dental clinic environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
