Responsibilities
Assist dentists during various procedures such as general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, Implants and ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared efficiently. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system like Dentrix, to ensure accurate medical documentation and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Take digital X-rays using a Nomad and 2D scans while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques to safeguard patient safety. Provide chairside assistance by handling dental terminology, vital signs, dental imaging, and dental coding to support comprehensive patient care. Support the dental reception area by scheduling appointments, and managing medical records with precision. Implement infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment through proper sterilization of instruments and adherence to OSHA standards. Assist with patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health.

Experience
Previous experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics specialties. Proficiency in using EMR systems such as Dentrix and Dexis is essential for managing dental records efficiently. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and dental terminology is required to communicate effectively with team members and patients. Familiarity with X-ray procedures, digital dental imaging techniques including 2D scanners and Nomad, and infection control practices is necessary for safe clinical assistance. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality of patient information at all times. Certification in chairside assisting or dental assisting programs demonstrates your commitment to professional growth in this field.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
