Dental Assistant

In this energetic position, you will support dentists during a variety of procedures, ensure the smooth operation of the clinic, and create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will help us maintain the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures with chairside support and four-handed dentistry techniques
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments using aseptic techniques and maintaining infection control protocols in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans, ensuring proper positioning and safety measures are followed
  • Manage patient records accurately using Open Dental
  • Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions about dental terminology, and ensuring patient comfort throughout visits
  • Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and assisting the dental receptionist with medical coding and records management
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment while adhering to infection prevention standards and safety guidelines

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures
  • Familiarity with EMR systems
  • Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dental procedures
  • Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and effectively
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding for accurate documentation
  • Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics
  • Certification in radiography or X-ray technology preferred; CPR certification is a plus

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
