We are looking for a Compassionate, Energetic Dental Assistant to help provide superior service to our valued patients in our practice. The dental assistant will assist the Dentist in both administrative and clinical duties including: prepare patients for procedures or exams, sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, prepare materials, and assist during dental procedures. Provide patient and practice support services, including, but not limited to, personal assistance and medical attention. The ideal candidate thrives on organization and understands the value of supporting others. Job Duties will include, but not limited to the following: Welcoming and helping to transition the patient into the appropriate treatment room, Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients. Record treatment information in patient records. Expose dental diagnostic x-rays. Actively provide hand instruments and materials as needed to Dentist during exams and procedures in order to help maintain patient comfort and Dentist’s efficiency. Assist chair side during administration of nitrous oxide when needed. Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs. Make preliminary impressions and occlusal registrations for study casts + mounting and fabrication of custom trays. Using and maintaining hazard/infection control protocols as established by OSHA and office standards. Must always represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner. Maintain regular attendance and adhere to the assigned work schedule and office policies. Must be able to comfortably and efficiently handle multiple deadlines and task assignments. Must be able to work both independently and cooperatively in team settings. Perform routine equipment maintenance and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed. Shares maintenance duties and keeps the workspace neat and clean. Other duties and tasks, as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:
Possess required license/certifications for DA1/DA II or Certified Dental Assistant (passed DANB), CPR, nitrous oxide monitoring, and x-rays
Have experience working as a chair side dental assistant for at least 1-year.
Possess skill in Curve Hero practice management software (or similar dental practice management software), MS Word, and basic computer navigation.
Compensation:
Hourly Rate (Determined by Experience and skill set) + Benefits (Full time) (PTO, Holidays, Health Insurance (Medical/Vision/Rx), Dental Allowance, Retirement)
