Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and sterilized equipment following strict infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging systems such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Manage patient records efficiently using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a clear working field during procedures.
- Collect vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain a clean, organized environment adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control standards.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and managing medical documentation or records.
Skills
- Proficiency with EMR systems including DentSoft, Open Dental, Dentrix Ascend for managing medical records and documentation.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
- Experience with dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting across various specialties like prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to patients of all ages, including pediatrics.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
