Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support to the dental team, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while delivering exceptional patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and the ability to work effectively with both patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients.
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, adhering to aseptic techniques.
• Take and develop X-rays as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Utilize 3D scanners for imaging and treatment planning when necessary.
• Manage patient records using Dentrix or Epic software, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Support pediatric dentistry by providing a friendly atmosphere for young patients.
• Perform four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency during procedures.
• Assist in endodontics procedures as needed, demonstrating knowledge of relevant techniques.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
• Proficient in dental terminology and procedures.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques is essential for maintaining a safe environment.
• Experience with Dentrix or Epic software is advantageous.
• Ability to perform X-rays and understand the principles behind them.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients of all ages.
