Schedule

• Full-time
• Evening hours every other Monday
• 1 Saturday per month (rotated between assistants) – approximately 4 Saturdays per year
• Saturday surgeries take place at our Dearborn location

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the oral surgeon with procedures including extractions, implants, and oral surgery
• Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and operatories
• Take and process dental X-rays and CBCT scans
• Monitor patient vital signs before, during, and after surgery
• Provide pre- and post-operative instructions
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
• Manage surgical supplies and maintain inventory
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols
• Assist with patient scheduling and follow-up care when needed

Qualifications

• Dental assisting experience required
• Experience in oral surgery preferred
• Radiology certification
• CPR certification
• Knowledge of dental and medical terminology
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented surgical environment
• Ability to assist patients following sedation procedures and lift up to 50 lbs if needed

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
