Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring all tools and materials are prepared and sterilized according to aseptic techniques.
- Take dental X-rays and operate advanced medical imaging equipment such as 3D scanners to support accurate diagnoses. Must have active radiology license.
- Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix or Denticon, ensuring all medical documentation complies with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide chairside assistance by managing vital signs, patient comfort, and explaining procedures using clear dental terminology.
- Support infection control protocols by maintaining a sterile environment and following strict aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination.
- Collaborate with the dental team to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently, enhancing patient experience and treatment outcomes.
- Greet patients as a dental receptionist when needed, scheduling appointments and managing patient flow seamlessly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of dental assisting procedures. At least 1-2 years dental assistant experience.
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Denticon
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy related to oral health.
- Ability to operate X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging devices safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization protocols in accordance with OSHA standards.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
