In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the dentist during procedures, preparing and sterilizing instruments, taking X-rays, and maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment. You’ll also help with patient education, ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed about their treatments. 2 Day Part Time Dental Assistant Schedule
Monday 8:00am - 3:30pm and Wednesday 7:30am - 4:30pm with 60 min lunch breaks

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures (required experience with Scanning and fabricate temporaries)

Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols
-
Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
-
Set up and break down treatment rooms before and after procedures
-
Provide patient education on proper oral hygiene and post-procedure care
-
Prepare and manage patient charts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
-
Assist with taking dental impressions and preparing materials for dental appliances
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
-
Welcome patients and ensure patient comfort and help ease anxiety during treatments
-
Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards in the practice
-
Other tasks as instructed

Active Maryland dental assistant EFDA license
-
Maryland Radiology license required
-
Dental Assistant training/school certification
-
2 or more years of dental assisting clinical experience preferred

Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods

Understanding of health & safety regulations

Experience with digital software, SoftDent preferred
