About the Role
As a Dental Assistant, you play an important part in helping patients feel comfortable, supported, and cared for during their visit. You’ll work side by side with dental providers and students, helping to ensure each appointment runs smoothly and efficiently.
This role goes beyond assisting with procedures. You’ll help create a positive experience for every patient while supporting a team that is dedicated to high-quality care.
The starting annual salary for this role is $42,641 and this can include a full comprehensive benefits package.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and materials are ready for care
Assist dental providers during examinations and procedures
Handle and organize dental instruments and equipment safely and efficiently
Support patients throughout their visit to help them feel at ease
Maintain accurate clinical and appointment records
Help manage scheduling and basic account documentation
Work closely with dentists, healthcare professionals, and dental students as part of a collaborative team

Required Education and Experience
1. Graduation from an accredited program in dental assisting; or
2. Thirty (30) credits leading to a degree from an accredited dental hygienist program; or
3. High school diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience as a Dental Assistant.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
