Dental Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice. In this role, you will work closely with dentists and patients to ensure high-quality clinical care and a positive patient experience. Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Assist the dentist during procedures (handing instruments, suctioning, etc.)
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and update patient records
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Manage patient flow and support efficient clinic operations
• Perform basic administrative tasks such as scheduling, charting, and patient intake
• Educate patients on post-procedure care and oral hygiene best practices

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as a Dental Assistant (or relevant training)
• Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and instruments
• Active Dental Assistant certification (if required by state)
• Experience with digital X-rays and dental software preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced setting

Preferred

• CPR/BLS certification
• Experience with Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar systems
• Bilingual (optional, based on location needs)
