Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and excellent communication skills.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepare and maintain the treatment room, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
• Perform medical imaging and assist with radiographic procedures while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Ensure infection control standards are met by sterilizing instruments and maintaining a clean work environment.
• Utilize dental software such, Dentrix Ascend for record keeping and patient management.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy is essential.
• Active radiology certification.
• coronal polishing certification.
• Experience with infection control practices in a clinical setting is necessary.
• Previous experience as a dental receptionist is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
