Dental Assistant (Experienced) - East Meadow, NY

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our fast-paced, patient-centered practice. We’re looking for a reliable, professional, punctual team player who takes pride in quality patient care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following strict infection control and aseptic protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment
• Assist dentists during procedures including restorations, crowns, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry
• Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) and perform iTero scans while ensuring patient comfort and privacy
• Accurately chart clinical notes and manage patient records in Dentrix
• Provide efficient chairside assistance by anticipating provider needs and handling instruments, materials, and supplies
• Support patient care with a calm, professional, and compassionate chairside manner
• Assist with patient flow and room turnover to keep the schedule running smoothly
• Maintain strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control standards
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth daily operations and an excellent patient experience

Skills

• Proficiency in Dentrix for clinical charting and documentation
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality
• Experience with digital dental imaging, including X-rays and 3D/iTero scanning
• Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently and confidently
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients of all ages
• Solid knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
• Experience in general dentistry required; experience in prosthodontics and endodontics preferred

Pay: $21.00 - $31.00 per hour
