Dental Assistant - Full Time

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly with aseptic techniques.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft while maintaining HIPAA compliance for patient confidentiality.
  • Support patients by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, and providing post-treatment instructions with clear communication.
  • Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a safe clinical environment.
  • Collaborate with the dental team on administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, and assisting with insurance or medical coding processes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting, with familiarity in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic technique.
  • Proficiency in dental software platforms such as Eaglesoft is a plus.
  • Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging devices confidently.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical records and medical documentation standards.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
  • Certification in chairside assisting or experience in chairside assisting is required.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
