Full-Time Surgical Dental Assistant

Tuesday–Friday | 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM | No Weekends

Compensation: $20 per hour DOE
(Compensation reflective of surgical and sedation experience)

About Our Practice

We are a growing surgical dental practice focused exclusively on advanced dental surgical procedures - primarily extractions performed under nitrous oxide (N2O), IV deep sedation, and full general anesthesia.

We do not perform hygiene or restorative procedures. Our clinical days are structured, efficient, and team-driven.

Our goal is to provide safe, compassionate surgical care while maintaining a positive, supportive, and low-turnover work environment for our team.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Dental Assistant who thrives in a surgical setting. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and committed to patient safety and comfort - especially in sedation and anesthesia environments.

Surgical and/or sedation experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctor during surgical dental procedures (extractions and related surgeries)
• Support procedures involving N2O, IV sedation, and general anesthesia
• Prepare and break down operatories for surgical cases
• Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
• Take and process radiographs
• Monitor and document patient information accurately
• Maintain OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards
• Assist with equipment maintenance and operatory organization
• Maintain current BLS/CPR certification (office-supported as needed)
• Contribute positively to team workflow and patient experience

Qualifications

• Active Washington State Dental Assistant registration (or ability to obtain)
• BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical setting
• Sedation experience preferred but not required
