Dental Assistant - Orofacial Pain/Oral Medicine

Chief Purpose of the Position

The Dental Assistant supports the delivery of patient care by preparing treatment areas, patients, instruments, and materials; assisting providers during procedures; and performing delegated duties in accordance with clinic protocols and provider direction.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

  • Knowledge of dental procedures, materials, instruments, and equipment
  • Knowledge of infection control standards and sterilization practices
  • Knowledge of dental radiography techniques in compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Familiarity with dental office procedures and patient record management
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and customer service

Education level and experience required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR certification (preferred)
  • X-ray certification (preferred)
  • CDA certification (preferred)
  • Previous experience in a dental or medical setting
  • Minimum of two (2) years of dental assisting experience (preferred)

Hiring Range: commensurate with experience
