Dental Assistant RDA

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, performing patient assessments, ensuring infection control protocols are followed, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including pediatric dentistry
- Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Take dental x-rays
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Open Dental
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality
- Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of dental assisting techniques and procedures
- Proficiency in dental anatomy and systems
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
