Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant Trainee and embark on an exciting journey into the world of oral healthcare! Duties
- Assist dentists during various procedures by preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments following aseptic techniques.
- Take and develop X-rays and operate dental imaging equipment such as 3D scanners under supervision.
- Support patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort throughout visits.
- Manage electronic health records using EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix while maintaining HIPAA compliance for patient privacy.
- Help with administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, answering phones as a dental receptionist, and updating medical records.
- Practice infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment to ensure safety for patients and staff.
- Gain exposure to medical terminology, dental terminology, and medical coding relevant to dental records and documentation.
Experience
- Prior experience in a dental clinic or healthcare setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for all technical skills.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is advantageous.
- Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, anatomy, and medical terminology will support your success in this role.
- Experience with pediatric dentistry or working with children is a plus for those interested in pediatrics-focused roles.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, follow detailed instructions, and work effectively within a team environment is essential.
- Basic understanding of medical documentation processes including medical records management and medical coding is beneficial. Pay: $15.00 - $27.75 per hour
