Position Overview

The Dental Assistant will support the dentist during clinical procedures, ensure patient comfort, and perform radiographic imaging in compliance with state regulations. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Take and process dental X-rays (must hold valid X-ray license/certification)
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• Review and update patient medical histories
• Provide post-operative instructions to patients
• Maintain infection control protocols and OSHA compliance
• Manage dental supplies and inventory
• Support front desk duties as needed (scheduling, patient communication)

Qualifications

• Active Dental Assistant certification (as required by state)
• Valid X-ray license/certification
• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with dental software Dentrix preferred
• CPR/BLS certification preferred

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour

Experience:

• Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• X-Ray Certification (Preferred)
