Dental Assistant with Xray license

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with aseptic techniques.
• Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including restorations, extractions, root canals, and prosthodontics.
• Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners while maintaining proper radiation safety protocols.
• Manage patient records by accurately updating medical records, medical documentation, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
• Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and addressing patient questions with professionalism and empathy.
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing “open Dental software“, and assisting the dental receptionist with front desk duties.
• Maintain infection control standards through proper sterilization procedures and knowledge of anatomy to assist with complex procedures across various specialties including pediatric dentistry, endodontics, and prosthodontics.

Experience

• Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred.
• Willingness to Cross trained front desk
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance, medical coding, and medical terminology ensures accurate documentation and confidentiality.
• Hands-on experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry enhances your ability to support diverse patient needs.
• Familiarity with X-ray techniques, medical imaging equipment including 3D scanners, and infection control practices is crucial for success in this role.
• Strong understanding of dental anatomy and aseptic techniques supports safe and effective patient care across multiple specialties like prosthodontics and endodontics. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
