About this Position:
We are looking for motivated, reliable, and patient-focused team members to join our team and grow with us
We are seeking a caring front desk staff to join our private dental office. The individual will be responsible for administrative work including but not limited to: scheduling patients, communicating with patients, answering calls, checking patients in/out, obtaining insurance eligibility and benefits, and posting payments. Billing experience is not required but is preferred. Full and part time candidates will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming and greeting patients in the office.
- Scheduling or canceling appointments.
- Assisting patients with filling out paperwork.
- Getting the dental staff’s charts and daily routines ready.
- Keeping track of recent treatments and procedures and updating patient data.
- Setting up follow-up appointments and sending out phone reminders.
- Getting in touch with medical/dental insurance companies for eligibility and to see if patients need to pay co-pays.
- Verifying payment methods and collecting fees as necessary.
- Answering phones, photocopying, filing, faxing, and related duties
Requirements:
- Fluent in English (REQUIRED) and Spanish (Proffered)..
- Working experience in a dental office is required.
- GED or high school diploma
- Ability to work well with patients and staff
- Well-versed in Dental terminology.
- Using Dental practice management software (Open Dental Preferred)
- Working understanding of administrative procedures in general.
- Great Telephone etiquette.
- Outstanding organizational abilities.
- Outstanding customer service abilities.
- Certification and ability to help as Dental Assistant is highly desired
- It is helpful to have a certification in office administration, medical administration, or a comparable profession
