- Must have experience with electronic clearing houses, preferably DentalXchange.
- Must have thorough knowledge of dental CDT codes.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience in dental billing

<Job Summary>
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Biller, where you will serve as a vital link between patients and our dental practice. In this role, you will send out claims and pre-treatment estimates. You may also be asked to help with coordinating treatment plans, verifying insurance benefits, ensuring smooth scheduling, accurate insurance processing, and facilitating seamless communication to enhance patient experience.
<Responsibilities>
- Handle all aspects of Front desk, dental billing, including submitting claims, processing payments, and managing accounts receivable
- Verify daily insurance coverage and benefits for patients, including PPO insurances, HMO, Denti-Cal and Medi-Cal
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with billing and coding regulations
- Follow up on outstanding claims and resolve any billing issues or discrepancies in a timely manner
- Maintain detailed and organized billing records
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective billing processes
- Work closely with patients to explain treatment costs, obtain necessary authorizations, and collect payments.
- Manage appointment scheduling using dental practice management software, ensuring efficient flow of patient visits.
- Review and process insurance claims with accurate CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) and ICD (International Classification of Diseases) coding to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, financial options, and insurance procedures with clear communication and compassionate service.
- Facilitate pre-authorization requests, treatment plan presentations, and follow-up on outstanding payments or documentation needs.
- Maintain accurate medical records, documentation review, and health information management in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide exceptional front desk support by answering multi-line phone systems, managing patient intake, and performing clerical tasks such as filing and data entry using Microsoft Office tools.
<Requirements>
- Knowledge of dental terminology and the dental billing processes.
- Previous dental office billing experience is required; familiarity with online billing systems, such as DentalXChange is highly valued.
- Proficiency in insurance verification procedures including Medicare, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, CPT coding, and care plan documentation.
- Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus (English and Spanish)
