Dental Front Office Assistant

Bartlett Family Dentistry is seeking a high-performing, detail-oriented professional with strong math and analytical skills to join our front office team.

We are a technology-driven, patient-focused practice that delivers a high standard of care through advanced systems, digital workflows, and efficient operations. This role is critical in ensuring accuracy, accountability, and a clear financial experience for our patients.

Position Overview

This position is responsible for managing the financial side of patient care, including insurance coordination, balance management, and clear communication of treatment costs. You will work closely with patients to help them understand their benefits and financial responsibilities with confidence and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify and interpret patients’ dental insurance benefits
  • Clearly communicate treatment costs and financial responsibility
  • Accurately calculate and collect patient balances
  • Post patient and insurance payments with precision
  • Monitor outstanding claims and follow up as needed
  • Manage overdue accounts and maintain consistent collection efforts
  • Generate and review financial and activity reports
  • Maintain accurate documentation and data within our systems
  • Support front office operations as needed

Technology & Workflow

We operate in a fully digital, high-efficiency environment, including:

  • Digital charting and patient records
  • Advanced imaging and diagnostics
  • Modern practice management software

Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to systems are essential.

Qualifications

  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving ability
  • Confidence discussing financial matters with patients
  • Proficiency with computers and data entry
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel proficiency preferred)

Preferred

  • Experience in dental, medical, or insurance-related roles
  • Familiarity with insurance benefits and billing processes
  • Experience with practice management software
