DENTAL HYGIENE (PEDIATRIC SETTING)

Job Summary
As a Registered Dental Hygienist in our pediatric office, you will be essential in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring a comfortable environment for our young patients.

Job Description includes but is not limited to:

1. Scaling/polishing and taking of x-rays of patients

2. When needed the tear down and set up of exam rooms

3. Going over hygiene instructions with patient and patient's parents

4. Documenting - requires computer competency

5. Team player

Skills

• Proficiency in dental software platforms such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and record management.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical coding standards.
• Experience or some in pediatric dentistry and pediatrics-specific patient care strategies to accommodate young patients comfortably.
• Skilled in chairside assisting with a focus on aseptic technique, medical imaging, and managing medical emergencies if needed.
• Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and recognize signs of medical or dental issues requiring immediate attention.
• Familiarity with EMR systems for efficient documentation review, data entry, and record keeping.
