Duties
- Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth and removing plaque and tartar to promote optimal oral health.
- Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical history reviews, and evaluating oral conditions to inform treatment plans.
- Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and patient comfort.
- Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to foster lifelong healthy habits.
- Maintain accurate medical records, document treatment details, and review documentation for completeness and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Follow infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current credentials to practice legally.
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation and record management.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical coding standards.
- Experience working in general dentistry,
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics.

Pay: $65.00 - $220.00 per hour
