Dental Hygienist

Overview

We are looking for a hygienist for Fridays 9am-2pm and every other Saturday 9am-3pm, no Saturdays in July and August

Duties

• Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews.
• Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
• Maintain accurate dental records, documenting treatment details, patient responses, and medical information in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
• Follow strict infection control procedures, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of instruments, to uphold HIPAA regulations and ensure patient safety.

Skills

• Proficiency with dental software such as iTero and Dentrix for documentation review and scheduling.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry procedures.
• Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes.
• Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment. Pay: $49.00 - $58.00 per hour
