Dental Insurance Specialist – Billing & Accounts Receivable

We are seeking an experienced Dental Insurance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior hands-on experience in dental insurance billing, posting, authorizations, eligibility verification, and accounts receivables management.

For the first 30 days, the role will involve observing and learning our current processes directly from the existing team member who manages these tasks. After the training and observation period, you will take full ownership of these responsibilities to ensure smooth and accurate insurance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage dental insurance billing, claims submission, and payment posting.
2. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits accurately.
3. Obtain and track pre-authorizations.
4. Handle accounts receivables, follow up on unpaid claims, and resolve discrepancies.
5. Ensure accuracy in patient accounts and statements.
6. Collaborate with office staff to improve workflow efficiency.

Qualifications
1. Proven experience in dental insurance billing and AR (minimum [3 years] preferred).
2. Strong understanding of dental insurance processes, including EOBs and claim follow-ups.
3. Familiarity with dental practice management software (Open Dental, Dentrix, or similar is a plus).
4. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
5. Strong communication and organizational skills.
