Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Insurance, Billing, and Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental insurance processing, medical billing, and accounts receivable management. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate claim submissions, effective insurance follow-up, and timely collections, all while maintaining compliance with industry standards. Your expertise in dental coding and medical terminology will be essential to optimize revenue cycle processes and support the overall financial health of our practice.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify dental insurance benefits and coverage details for patient claims.
• Prepare and submit accurate claims using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) coding systems.
• Manage accounts receivable by following up on unpaid or denied claims promptly and efficiently.
• Collaborate with insurance companies to resolve claim discrepancies or rejections.
• Maintain comprehensive and organized dental records and billing documentation
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding billing inquiries, payment plans, or insurance issues.
• Stay current with updates in medical coding standards, including ICD coding updates, to ensure accuracy in claims processing.

Requirements

• Proven experience in dental insurance billing, or healthcare revenue cycle management
• Experience managing accounts receivable and conducting collections for overdue balances.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in handling dental records and billing documentation.
• Ability to interpret insurance policies and explain coverage details to patients clearly.
• Prior experience working in a dental office environment is highly preferred; familiarity with dental-specific billing practices is advantageous. Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
