Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Bookkeeper to join our Property & Casualty commercial insurance agency. In this vital role, you will manage financial records, ensure accurate bookkeeping practices, and support our accounting functions. Your expertise will help us maintain precise financial data, facilitate smooth operations, and uphold our commitment to excellence.

Duties

• Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting EPIC System.
• Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
• Prepare journal entries, including debits and credits, to record financial activities in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Reconcile balance sheets and perform monthly closing procedures to support financial reporting
• Proven experience with accounting software with EPIC
• Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and GAAP standards a plus.
• Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger management
• Familiarity with governmental accounting practices and tax experience is a plus
• Ability to perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliation, and account analysis accurately
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; proficiency in 10-key typing preferred
• Experience in bookkeeping within a property & casualty insurance environment is highly desirable

Pay: $30.31 - $36.50 per hour
