We are seeking a skilled and licensed Dental Assistant with a DHA (Dubai Health Authority) license to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Support:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring efficient and smooth chairside support.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials.
- Patient Care:
- Greet and prepare patients for dental procedures, making them comfortable and addressing any concerns.
- Provide clear instructions to patients regarding oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Instrument Sterilization:
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the treatment area.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
- Document treatment information in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Radiography:
- Take and process dental X-rays as directed by the dentist.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols.
- Educational Support:
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
- Provide information on post-operative care instructions.
- Assist with Administrative Tasks:
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar.
- Handle patient inquiries and coordinate with front desk staff as needed.
- Infection Control:
- Adhere to strict infection control measures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Follow established protocols for infection prevention and control.
Qualifications:
- DHA License:
- Possession of a valid DHA license as a Dental Assistant.
- Education:
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program.
- Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in dental software, X-ray equipment, and other dental tools.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
