This is not a passive administrative role — you are the gatekeeper of insurance accuracy, the driver of claim success, and a key player in the financial health of the practice.

What You’ll Do

Own Insurance & Maximize Revenue

• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits with precision
• Break down coverage clearly so patients understand their financial responsibility
• Ensure all treatment plans are aligned with accurate benefit estimates
• Identify opportunities to maximize insurance utilization and minimize denials

Manage Claims & Collections

• Submit clean, accurate claims promptly
• Track and follow up on outstanding claims aggressively
• Resolve denials, delays, and discrepancies with persistence and attention to detail
• Work aging reports and maintain consistent insurance collections

Financial Communication with Patients

• Confidently present treatment costs, insurance portions, and out-of-pocket estimates
• Answer patient questions regarding insurance and billing with clarity and professionalism
• Build trust by eliminating confusion around finances

Protect Accuracy & Compliance

• Maintain precise patient insurance records and documentation
• Ensure coding accuracy (CDT codes) and proper claim submission
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and office protocols at all times

Support Team & Office Flow

• Collaborate with front desk and clinical team to ensure smooth case acceptance
• Assist in coordinating treatment plans with financial clarity
• Help create a seamless patient experience from clinical care to checkout

What We’re Looking For

• Strong knowledge of dental insurance (PPOs, breakdowns, frequencies, downgrades, etc.)
• Proven experience with claims, billing, and insurance follow-up
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and accountability
• Confident communicator — able to explain plan benefits clearly and professionally
• Strong problem-solving skills and persistence with claims resolution
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
