Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Dental Office Manager to lead our busy dental practice with enthusiasm and expertise. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the dental office team, including reception, clinical staff, and administrative personnel
- Verify insurances for patients treatements with Curve dental management software.
- Manage medical/dental records, patient documentation, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy
- Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation and data management
- Implement human resources policies including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development
- Ensure clinic operations adhere to healthcare standards such as JCAHO accreditation requirements and OSHA guidelines
- Oversee clinic scheduling, patient flow, and appointment coordination to optimize patient experience and operational efficiency
- Monitor managed care contracts and utilization management processes to maximize revenue streams while maintaining quality care
- Maintain proficiency in dental terminology, acute care procedures, and medical administrative support functions for seamless clinic operations
- Lead efforts in budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation to support sustainable practice growth
Skills
- Proven experience in dental office management or healthcare management with strong supervisory skills
- Extensive knowledge of medical office systems such as Curve, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix,
- Expertise in fiscal management including budgeting, financial reporting, billing practices, and managed care negotiations
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, medical records management, and healthcare compliance standards like JCAHO
- Strong understanding of Dental terminology related to dentistry and acute care procedures
- Excellent human resources skills for staff supervision, training, conflict resolution, and team building
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently within a fast-paced clinical environment
