Dental Receptionist

Duties

• Greet patients warmly, verify their insurance information, and schedule appointments using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
• Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, answering inquiries promptly and directing calls appropriately
• Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and process claims using systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth
• Collect payments, process medical billing, and perform medical collection activities in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Maintain accurate dental records and medical documentation review to ensure completeness and compliance with health information management standards
• Assist with patient intake procedures, including updating personal information and explaining treatment plans

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist
• Familiarity with dental practice management software (Dentrix)
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive patient information discreetly in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
• Prior Dental experience and knowledge of medical billing, coding, documentation review, and care plan coordination are preferred
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance with excellent phone etiquette and communication skills

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
