Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Treatment Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as a vital link between patients and providers, managing patient care plans, scheduling, and insurance verification. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, and a thorough understanding of medical terminology and billing procedures. The Treatment Coordinator will ensure seamless patient experiences while supporting the clinical staff with administrative tasks and documentation review.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient treatment plans, including scheduling appointments and follow-ups
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits using systems such as Denticon
- Review medical records for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist patients with intake procedures, explaining treatment options and financial responsibilities
- Manage documentation review related to the dental billing processes
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers via multi-line phone systems and front desk support
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, treatment plans, and billing information using Google Drive and other office management software
- Support administrative functions such as filing, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and data entry with high attention to detail
- Uphold confidentiality standards in accordance with HIPAA guidelines while handling sensitive health information
- Provide exceptional patient service by demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and clear communication
Experience
- Prior experience in a medical office setting or clinic environment is highly preferred
- Familiarity with Denticon and Weave is favored
- Knowledge of dental terminology processes, and health information management practices is required
- Experience in dental or medical billing and insurance verification is advantageous
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing and office management software
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems and maintain professionalism in all interactions
- Bilingual abilities are a plus but not mandatory; clinic experience is preferred for familiarity with healthcare workflows
