We are seeking a compassionate and skilled
Dentist
to provide oral health assessments, preventive care, and early identification of dental or oro-facial issues in children enrolled in the Early Intervention Centre. The role focuses on promoting oral hygiene, supporting early developmental needs, guiding parents/caregivers, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team (therapists, pediatricians, special educators, and psychologists).
Conduct oral examinations for infants and young children (0–6 years).
Identify early signs of dental caries, malocclusion, oro-motor issues, feeding challenges, tongue-tie, and other dental/developmental concerns.
Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
Provide fluoride applications, preventive scaling (as appropriate), and other basic interventions suitable for early childhood.
Guide parents on brushing techniques, dietary habits, bottle-feeding practices, and oral hygiene routines.
Recommend preventive measures to reduce the risk of early childhood caries.
Support oral-motor development by collaborating with speech therapists and occupational therapists.
Assist in management and referral of conditions affecting feeding, swallowing, or oro-facial structure.
Develop individualized oral care plans for children with developmental delays or disabilities.
Educate parents on the importance of early dental care and routine check-ups.
Conduct workshops on oral hygiene, teething management, and prevention of dental problems.
Provide counseling for parents of children with special needs.
Work closely with pediatricians, physiotherapists, speech therapists, psychologists, and educators.
Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and care planning.
Provide dental input to support overall developmental outcomes.
Prepare periodic oral health reports and maintain clinical records as per centre guidelines.
Contribute to documentation required for audits, assessments, or program evaluations.
Follow infection control protocols and child-friendly safety standards.
Maintain sterilization of equipment and ensure a child-safe clinical environment.
Strong knowledge of pediatric dentistry and early childhood oral health.
Experience working with infants, toddlers, and children with developmental delays (preferred).
Excellent communication and counselling skills with parents/caregivers.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Compassion, patience, and child-friendly approach.
Good documentation and reporting skills.
