Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive dental care services to patients within a community health center setting. This role focuses on delivering high quality, patient centered oral healthcare services and represent CAHC in the community by participating in CAHC sponsored outreach events.

Requirements:


Task Responsibilities & Competencies:

  • Include but are not limited to:
  • Perform comprehensive dental examinations and assessments
  • Diagnose oral diseases and develop appropriate treatment plans
  • Provide preventive services such as cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants
  • Perform restorative procedures including fillings, crowns and bridges
  • Conduct extractions and other minor surgical procedures
  • Measure and fit for removable dental appliances such as partials and dentures using traditional and digital methods
  • Participate in school-based health and community outreach programs, as well as oral health education initiatives
  • Provide required dental care as needed.
  • Refer patients to a specialist if needed
  • Deliver culturally competent care to diverse and underserved populations
  • Participate as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records in electronic health records (HER)
  • Participate in staff meetings and quality improvement initiatives

Minimum Education and Experience:

Required:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of dental and Current State of Ohio Dental License
  • Ability to communicate and work with a diverse population base.
  • Eligible for Medicaid/Medicare provider status.
  • Strong clinical background.
  • Expertise in denture fabrication, extractions, complex restorative and patient management.
  • Excellent oral and written communications’ skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population.
  • Possible eligibility for loan repayment options (example National Health Service Corps, Ohio Dentist Loan Repayment Program)
