Dentist BDS

Job Summary

A BDS Dentist is responsible for diagnosing, preventing, and treating diseases and conditions of the teeth, gums, and oral cavity. The role involves performing general dental procedures, educating patients on oral health, and ensuring high standards of clinical care and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine patients’ teeth, gums, and oral tissues to diagnose dental conditions
  • Perform routine dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, scaling, and polishing
  • Conduct root canal treatments (basic endodontic procedures)
  • Prescribe medications for dental conditions and infections
  • Take and interpret dental X-rays
  • Develop treatment plans and discuss options with patients
  • Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and sterilization protocols
  • Provide preventive dental care education to patients
  • Refer patients to specialists (Orthodontist, Periodontist, Oral Surgeon) when required

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from a recognized institution
  • Valid Dental Council registration/license
  • Internship completion certificate
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred)

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
  • Good communication and patient management abilities
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and materials
  • Ability to handle dental emergencies
  • Attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Familiarity with dental software and digital radiography systems

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
