Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor s degree. Three years of professional experience in environmental program management, project management, waste diversion, or recycling program administration is required. Additional professional experience in environmental program management, project management, waste diversion, or recycling program administration may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Must possess a valid driver's license.

Recruitment Notes


This position is assigned to the Resilience Division and is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a countywide recycling program and additional waste diversion programs. The incumbent in this position administers and manages recycling-related agreements serving over 360,000 households. This position will also assist in developing and executing Miami-Dade County's waste diversion goals, including evaluating innovative waste solutions to achieve them. The work will be instrumental in collaborating with County administration, departmental leadership, and external partners on long-range waste diversion planning, legislative initiatives, and interdepartmental waste diversion programs. Additionally, this role will be responsible for promoting recycling and waste diversion programs through collaboration with the Department's Public Information and Outreach Division, raising awareness and engaging the community. The incumbent's efforts will also include preparing reports and presentations highlighting key initiatives.
