Department of Transportation and Public Works Infrastructure Manager internal

This position entails advanced professional and administrative responsibilities overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of public infrastructure projects. The role includes managing a portfolio of capital improvement initiatives; supervising engineers, inspectors, estimators, and consultants; and ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with scope, schedule, budget, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will coordinate with internal departments, external agencies, utility providers, and contractors to secure approvals, resolve conflicts, and maintain project progress. Responsibilities also include reviewing plans and specifications, assigning and monitoring work, evaluating risks, implementing solutions to avoid delays, approving work orders, and overseeing contractor and consultant payments in compliance with contractual and departmental standards. Additionally, the position requires maintaining accurate project data through tracking systems and communicating project status, risks, and milestones to leadership and stakeholders to support informed decision-making and successful project delivery.
